My name is Joseph Kominkiewicz. For my photography, I utilize both film and digital media depending on the type of assignment, and the style of the work required. My portrait work is geared towards accentuating the power of the subject. I have experience working with both institutions and individuals on documentary-style photography/videography projects.
Coming from an academic background in the humanities, I bring expertise in story development and specialist research to the table. This is extremely beneficial on-set as well as in later stages of the project as an editor.
I’m one of the few photographers in the Chapel Hill area to offer archival-quality darkroom black-and-white prints using a fully analog process from start to finish.
